The People's Law Library of Maryland has created a workbook to help people who are representing themselves in family law cases. You can access the workbook here. While there is a lot of information in the workbook, it does not and cannot give you legal advice for your specific situation. If you have a family law issue, be wary of reading the information with rose-colored glasses. You are not a disinterested, neutral person presenting your case and organizing the information, and a consultation with an attorney can help you to determine the strengths and weaknesses of your position. Having free and easy access to legal information is a great thing, but it's not a substitute for an attorney advocating for your legal needs.
