Attorney fees increase well ahead of inflation. According to the AMLaw daily, some 1st year associates (in other words, new graduates) bill at $650.00 an hour!!! Still, I find that regardless of the rate, the biggest source of sticker shock is that clients often don't realize the amount of work that it takes to litigate a case. http://amlawdaily.typepad.com/amlawdaily/2010/09/ratecheck-1.html
